Nice video, like always. You played Shuppet again? Well, 3-2 is a good result. Yes, your Dialga G/Garchomp C is pretty awful, that’s why I play 2-2 Blaziken FB Lv.X in my Shuppet deck, yeah it’s less consistency (Only a little), but it does well against Dialga G. Pooka is a pretty good deckbuilder though. If I can get any Dialga G, it may be my last CC deck. Keep up those great videos dude!

That last part almost made me shed a tear. The background song for it really matched the mood.

Shuppet! Love the deck. Tried it out at league and it is just genious.

But Dialga! No! Why must such a retched and disgustingly good deck be alive on this earth? If only it wasn’t such a good play for the overall format, then there would be a smaller chance of running into ‘the Wall’ at cities.

Yeah, I think Dialga/Garchomp (w/ or w/o Luxury) will be the deck to play (or beat) for Cities.

I think I may play Shuppet Donk the entire season. Being that I judge here and there, that statement doesn’t mean much, as I get to play in 2 BR/ 1 CC a year.

Good video once again! The humor is great.

    KEEP IT UP!

I think Blazeray is the obvious choice to beat Dialga. It’s been doing well, but you just need to have experience with the deck vs. all the different matchups out there, along with a quasi-perfected list.

Great vid, well put together. Your report, the music, and the short interviews flowed nicely.

@ Soul– yeah, blaziken is the obvious answer– perhaps too obvious for super skill player Pooka. He uses the garchomp C to KO the blaziken FB before it can level up :0. Having the tech at hand in a lot of different decks seems to be an important option to look at these days!

@ Dusk– I believe this was a rec room at the Rantoul Public Library

@ Matthew R– You’re not the first person that’s told me that! I’m glad my videos have such a positive effect : D.

I believe it’s the garchomp that makes dialgia playable again. It’s a very frustrating deck because of how good it is. You HAVE to one-shot dialgia otherwise the player will use switch/warp energy to the chomp and heal all the damage. Well, the natural counter to that seems to be blaziken, which he deals with by using garchomp’s snipe. Arg! lol. Right now I’m looking into some kind of palkia-blaziken deck, as maybe power locking can hold him for long enough to win.

Shuppet is a barrel of fun, which is why I had to try it out one last time : D. (or is it the last?)

Quaziko– thanks for all the kind words! I’m working hard with Blaziken/ANYTHING to find the right combination for me. I might try to take machamp next week too, but that’s a bigger risk.

haha I thought “oh this is a scrub area and shuppet cleans up scrubs like no other”– but then the good players from indiana came D:. Shuppet’s fun, but it’s too dumb for a smart player like me to play!

I’m trying, for the first time, to get good with sp builds. I’m trying as many different combinations as I can to counter Dialgia/Garchomp, but nothing seems to be working. You’re an SP player, chan! What kinds of builds have you been messing with?

Been fine tuning and perfecting my list for Blaziken FB/Luxray GL/Garchomp C. It has a good match up I believe vs Dialga G.

he had the fighting toxicroak, warp energies, snowpoint templer, conductive quarry, and the psychic toxicroak/skuntank. There are probably more crazy things in there too, but those are what I remember.

I Think the 2-1 line is needed for a guy like pooka because he’s the ultimate tech-er. He prefers a small drop in consistency for a high gain in the usage of his techs. A 2-2 is still a mighty solid choice. I’ll definitely cover a video on this at some point!

Nice video! I made a dialga garchomp deck and I can say it’s pretty awesome! The only thing I have trouble with is the gyrados matchup. It might be bacause we have a good list or I need work, but its tough because gyarados does so much damage. Only a perfect setup would give me the advantage and that’s if they aren’t running Palkia (which they should be). Shuppet is a great deck and I would not put a blaziken in it. If anything shuppet more than any other deck needs the most consistency because of it’s already high-risk nature. It’s a nice win when it doesn’t work and truly annoying when it does work.

@elvis– I’m confused as to what you are saying!

@kwisdumb– thanks a ton! I’m glad to hear how positively people are responding to my reports : D

@ben– I actually find DG to be pretty good vs. gyarados if they can get the X with a bunch of special steel right away. Gyarados needs to do the 90+ 30 damage of crobats/pluspower/expert belt + an additional 10 damage for each special steel. If you don’t one shot them, then they can do the whole garchomp heal thing. Although, just thinking about gyarados makes me want to try it out again : D. I’m just worried about getting donked :0

    Hi !

Great video, thx for it !

I think that DG can easily beat Gyarados, cuz if you knock out Gyarados via Deafen than Gyarados player cant play pkmn rescue, NM or anything else (but Palmer and it is very slow imo and who knows how many Gyarados variants play it) and than he cant beat you imo.

BTW whats point of Kingdra / Flygon deck ?

knocking out Gdos via deafen is quite a feat though! And even if they do, there’s a new tech these days in combee with the “honey” tool attached that acts as a pokemon rescue : P. Im trying out gyarados again regardless because I think I owe it to my viewers to play it at least once : P
