  1. I was thinking the same thing Quaziko, and i agree about the legends not being that great, at least until machamp/mewtwo circulate out. Just really pretty binder candy.

off subject j-wittz, but i was wondering where you live? if anywhere in the dupage area i was thinking i could help ya out with your broadcasts and also maybe play test some deck ideas in person. Let me know okay?

I really do not see them competitive now but I am certain there will be a set that will help them out more later on (Like Rivals for SP). People will find a way to use Entei/Raiku for that 80 damage on all that have poke’powers for 2 energies…that could win games since it is damage and not putting damage counters so Unown G would do nothing to protect it. (Bench shield can though but who uses it?)

    • Eelis Peltola  → Saturn

The bad thing is, cards like Claydol and Uxie won’t be in the format at the same time with Entei/Raikou…
And if it gets much attention, Manetric PL counters E/R Legend pretty easily.
Not to beat down the card, it IS powerful. Just may not be the right time for this guy.

Are that English language cards? How come you have them so early?

  5. Nice video! I know it really stinks that there bad but I bet someone will make these cards good. Who knows maybe they will make it to the Pokemon World Championship 2010.

    Another great vid JWittz,

I don’t disagree with anything you have said. Two cards you forgot that can search out or draw the Legends (although not as effectively as Bebe’s or Luxury Ball) are Dusk Ball and Quick Ball.

just a question if you have a pokemon that has a poke-power that says once during your turn you can do something and you have say 2 of those pokemon in play can you use it 2 times

Ughh this is terrible I only have 1 double colorless energy but I really want to enter…

  12. Adam Capriola

It depends on the card. If it says “You can’t use more than 1 (insert PokePower here) per turn,” then you can’t. If if doesn’t say that, then you could use both.

Killer video J-Wittz, I am glad you were honest about the cards. Pokemon USA might not be happy about that but you gotta tell everyone the way it is. :)

Dang. I forgot Machamp’s attack says “…not an evolved Pokemon…” instead of “…if it is a basic Pokemon…”. Although I would love to play with these cards and how sickly looking they are… I agree that they probably wont see much light outside of the binder. At least not until a later set that aids in their search. Still a great review though!

Great vid. You could use a poke ball. (if you flip heads)

These new Legend Pokemon remind me of the Arceus in the last set, great build-up, cool graphics, lousy play. I guess collectors need reasons to keep shelling out $$$$ on each new set, but as for playability I have to agree with J – no go on the Legends.

Look for Feralligator Prime, Donphan Prime, and Ampharos Prime instead. The Feralligator has a lot of potential!

Good video!!! Brutally Honest these cards look great, have the Wow factor, but not competitive. Kinda like Arceus, someone will make them work well, but for most the will just frustrate you by sucking.

JWittz: awesome video especially on a monday lol I found your video very educational and that lugia legend delcatty idea seemed nice. Dialga platinum seems like a really good idea to recycle the energy. What do you feel about leafeon lv.x with lugia legend. Combo there?
