New Commenting System

I was kinda sick of the old commenting system so I implemented a new one. Yes, I know it doesn’t show the funny faces (it might have support for that soon though), but it offers a few nice advantages:

1. No page reload when leaving a comment.

Hooray for this! I know the site loads slow sometimes (a lot of the time), and if you want to leave multiple comments on a post it can take forever, so this is a godsend.

2. Ability to log-in with accounts from other sites.

You can log-in to post with your Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Open-ID, and some other account too I think. You can also register for an account on Disqus.com, which is what I did. It’s pretty nice because it lets you keep track of your comments and subscriptions to topics and everything. I highly recommend doing that.

Registering will also allow you to claim all your comments on here if you register with the e-mail address you’ve registered with on here. That way the gray silhouette will be gone for your old posts.

3. Ability to “Like” comments.

If someone makes a really great point, you can Like their comment and give them some gratitude. :)

Aside from this update, I’ve been trying to get some sponsors for the site. Professor-Oak.com is our first sponsor, so please show them some love. I would like to get some more sponsors, so if you know anyone that would be interested, tell them to contact me.

I really don’t like a lot of the ads on the site right now and want to remove them, but need them to keep the site going. I’m hoping to eventually only have direct sponsors on the site and ads for 6P products, like T-shirts and playmats which I hope to get around making in the future.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions for the site in terms of design or content, let me know. I am always looking to improve 6P.
