Contest coming up…

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the lack of updates this week. School has prevented me from being able to practice Pokémon this week…I was hoping to test some decks out and posts lists, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. I am thinking of playing Jumpluff this weekend though. If I am able to test Friday night, I’ll throw up my list before I leave for the PA States.

Anyway I will be getting the details together for the next contest this weekend. I am making contests only available to newsletter subscribers for entry, so make sure you’re subscribed if you want it. The prize will be a box of HGSS: Unleashed (or whatever set you want…as long as it isn’t super expensive). I’ll send the details out on let’s say Monday evening.

Also, be sure to send in your tournament reports, I’d love to get some more posted.

Aight peace out…

-Adam

P.S. Should be getting new hosting sometime next week, so the site might be down, I’m not sure. I’m a little worried about the whole process, but will make the switch once I sell some of my junk and get some cash so I don’t go broke purchasing the hosting.

P.P.S. Make sure you click “Submit for Review” if you send an article in…otherwise I am not sure if you are finished with your article. Thanks.

I wish I could Like your post. :P
When I read the prizes part and see …or whatever set you want… I go “wohoo, Shadowless Base Set box here I come!” Then comes the …as long as it isn’t super expensive… and I go fuuuuuuu-!
Well, I guess I'll set for the box of Unleashed. Which, btw, is a really cool prize for a free(?) contest.

Awesome! I would love to win a box of ANY set haha. Definitely post your deck list and let us know how it goes. I think I'm going to be playing Jumpluff at Michigan States and I would love to see what you came up with.

Will you accept UK entrants? just wondering as the shipping over here is pretty high :/
Either way competitions are great and I look forward to seeing how jumpluf plays in a tourney the concept is really good but I have yet to see a list I like.

I've tried about 15 different deck lists for Jumpluff and I've finally settled on one that I really like. I haven't tested it as much as I would like but I'm feeling pretty good about it. I guess we'll find out on Saturday.

My brother went to Indiana States last week and he said that he didn't see any Jumpluff so I guess it hasn't really caught on. He said probably 50% of the 70+ Senior division players were playing some form of Gengar.

  7. jordan baker

I mean there were over 70 players in senior division, not that there was a senior citizen division of 70+ year olds haha.

  8. Scnappy

That would have been beast, I would have loved to see Old people whipping out their lvl X's :P
I really wanna make it to a UK state but I'm not sure if my League organizer will do one :/ As one happend like the other side of town for us and I didn't have a proper deck I was considering gengar but I would rather play some form of rouge xD

  9. Adam Capriola

Yeah why not…international contestants are welcome. :)

  10. Scnappy

although I have only been playing around a month in our current format so whatever it is I'm not gonna do so great xD But its good to know i can enter

  12. jordan baker

You will probably be able to borrow from someone at the tournament, I
wouldn't worry about it too much.

You could try your local dollar store, that's where I got mine. Also make sure they have rounded corners.

Our Tournament Organizer always has a big bag of them. If not you can always share with the person you are playing. or just flip a coin.

Hey- since you are scrounging for $$$… I wonder if some of us could “donate” some of our unused Pokemon cards for you to sell on Ebay or just sell and send proceeds? I know I have a bunch of cards that are good but that I don't think I'll ever play, so why not raise some $$$ to help the website?

  19. Adam Capriola

    Hey Tony,

I really appreciate that thought, but it isn't necessary. I've got some cards of my own I can sell, I just need to get around to doing it. :)

    Thanks though!
