PokémanDan’s PokéClass Episode 11 – Regigigas (Ultimate Lock & Disruption)

Hey guys,

This new episode is about a deck that took some people by surprise at Worlds by being the only one of its kind in Master’s Top Cut (eventually coming in 12th). This deck provides one of the strictest locks in the format when set up correctly and is pretty hard to get your head around. I’m going to attempt to explain it as best I can and hopefully you’ll learn how well it can fit into the metagame. Enjoy!

Dan

also, id like to see more analysis.

you mention giratina let loose is like judge- well, then why did you not just play judge? you talk about being able to be power sprayed (then mention how junk arm is great because it cant be sprayed) and a high retreat cost, so why the giratina over the judge (this is just an example, but i think it is a good one

i think he explained it well. when he mentions cyrus’ initiative, i think, is when he says that giratina is good so you can get the judge effect and still use your supporter in this case cyrus

i was hoping a mention of the fact that it can be searched for/recovered… the overwhelming reason it is played over judge.

It can also be sacrificed and rescued, that is why it is so important in this deck…that may have been what you meant when you said recovered. And, its also spray bait.

You can’t use Cyrus Initiative after Giratina unless you will get it in your four cards. The only way you can safely do it is via sableye.

I wish you gave us a skeleton list for it like you usually do in your videos…. tough to come up with the right numbers of cards for this deck when your new like me. The skeletons help a lot. Nice video other than that though!

it wasn’t surprising, the guy always got heads whenever he used SSU, just luck not skill

You said something along the lines of Giratina getting gusted active and being stuck….sacrifice makes that a non-issue. Also, you said that Warp Point is an option, but its really more of a necessity. Warp Point allows you to retreat Gigas so you can use the Lv X’s attack again by sacrificing whatever you warped up. Yes Warp Energy can do that as well, but Warp Point allows you to gust Garchomp back to drag off (or whatever is active if you prefer to damage that instead of something on the bench.

Awesome video, very hard to wrap your head around indeed. I’ve been studying this deck for the last 2 weeks like crazy trying to decide if I wanted to run it at CC…don’t think I am, my meta is just too weird. If there was a lot of Luxchomp, I would do it…
