It’s that time of the month again… we need you to weigh in on Underground Writer of the Month for January 2011!
We are doing things a little differently this month. Instead of having 2 separate polls (1 for best article and 1 for best staffer on the forums), we are combining everything into 1 poll for the overall best Underground contributor for the month.
That means you should vote depending on who you think did the best job, both in terms of article writing and being helpful on the Underground forums.
Basically, who was the most invaluable member of the team?
The poll is really important because the top vote-getters are given more article writing opportunities and incentives, so please take this seriously and put some thought into your choices.
You are allowed to vote for who you thought were the 3 best writers during the month of January 2011.
Take your time and be confident in your selections. You may need to re-read some of the articles, go back through forum posts, and collect your thoughts to make a rational decision.
Voting ends Wednesday, February 2nd at 11:59 PM EST.

Also, I’ll use this post to announce the Underground Suggestion of the Month winner who gets $15 zapped into their PayPal account…
This month’s winner is Ryan I. (aka soggymooses) for giving some great suggestions on creating the UG Deck Discussion forums.
The UG Deck Discussion forums were a new addition this month, and were part of a suggestion from Ethan M. last month, who suggested the Underground members be able to playtest with the Underground writers.
Though I didn’t think that would be possible for various reasons, I really liked the concept behind his idea, that Underground be more of a community thing. So I went ahead and revamped the forums a little bit, to encourage more community interaction.
Ryan gave me some really good suggestions that led to the formation of the UG Deck Discussion forums, and I think they’ve gone over pretty well!
The other major change was as the renaming of The Hangout.

I feel good about how everything has progressed and I’m exciting to get everyone prepped and primed for States! I really hope everyone is about to do well and at least make top cut. You never know what can happen once you make the cut. :)
