Hey everyone! It’s time for the Writer of the Month poll again… but first let me go over some Underground news.
1. Members List for Networking
pokebeach.comI mentioned this last month. I was extremely busy in July with US Nationals, various SixPrizes stuff, and other projects I’m working on, but I promise you I’ll have the members list done within the next 3-5 days.
Basically it will be a page where you can view the list of your fellow Underground members along with their e-mail, AIM, Skype, Facebook, Twitter, age, and location so you can get in contact with people to talk to and playtest with.
I’ll make it optional whether or not you want to opt-in to be included on the list because I know maybe not everyone wants their info publicized. But I know there are a lot of you who would probably like your contact info out there so you can network with other members!
EDIT: I’ve got a basic members list up now, please check it out and give me feedback!
2. Schedule for August
I thought I’d give you a heads up on what to expect and share the current writers schedule for this month:

I’m not sure what specific topics the guys are planning to write about yet, but we will likely focus on the last chance qualifier (LCQ) and Worlds, and then discuss Worlds results and begin analysis on Emerging Powers and the post-Worlds metagame in preparation for autumn Battle Roads.
3. Deck Discussion Forums
pokebeach.comI’m trying to decide how to best handle this. They’ve been quiet for a while now and I need to decide on a way to revitalize them.
I was originally considering building dedicated “deck pages” on the blog portion of the site that would list links to resources and sample decklists, but I’m not sure how feasible or useful that will be.
The issue is that it’s very difficult to keep the forum threads update. I could automate stuff on the blog (like having links to resources automatically get added to deck pages), but if you have any thoughts, please let me know. I’m open to any ideas you might have.
I think that’s about it as far as news goes… so now it’s time for the poll!

As always, these polls are super important because the top 2 vote-getters get extra writing opportunities each month. It’s basically your way to control who you want to see write more articles, so please take your time and vote for whoever truly deserves your vote.
Your vote should take into account not only who wrote the best articles, but also who was the most helpful in the forums. It’s pretty much a combination of all factors to determine which writer overall provided the most insights and help.

I promise I will be at Worlds next year, unless it’s in Hawaii. It’s a coin flip in that case (unless I inherit a large sum of money).
