    Just wondering here, but where did you get the information for the states? (specifically the ones in New England) I've been watching pokemon.com's event page for weeks now and haven't found anything on them. D:

    Also if Rhode Island has a States then I wouldn't count on Connecticut getting them, as they're right next to each other and most of the events around here are all done by the same group of people. :p

    Edit: Never mind, I see that the TO on pokegym was the one who gave the locations/dates. Still waiting for them to be confirmed of course but it shouldn't be too long...

    2014 Arizona Pokémon TCG State Championships











    Location: Arizona Cultural Academy & College Prep

    (Event will be in the School Gym- See map attached)

    7810 S 42nd Pl. (off Baseline) Phoenix, AZ 85042

    IMPORTANT: . DO NOT Park in the street or at the Fire Department. Pleasefollow the guidelines attached. We will have signs posted.

    Date: Saturday, March 8th 2014


    Time: Registration begins at 8:00 AM (Registration ends at 9:15 AM).

    Player meeting begins at approximately 9:30AM.

    MASTERS/SENIORS: 50 minutes +3 (Best 2 out of 3 Swiss games).

    JUNIORS: 30 minutes + 3 (Single game).

    ALL Top Cut Finals will be single elimination 2 out of 3 match play (75 minute time limit).



    Masters TOP 8 players may be playing on Sunday at a local Game store, TBD.

    Please keep this in mind when planning for the event.



    The Main Tournament (Swiss rounds) can last 5 to 6 hours.

    You must be in the registration line with your decklist ready no later than 9:15 AM

    or you may receive a first round loss or not be allowed to enter the event.

    Don't be late!


    Please print & complete the decklist attached.

    Please arrive with your deck in the same order as your decklist.



    Those players who show up with the attached decklist completed and their deck in the same order

    will be entered into a SPECIAL RAFFLE for Sealed booster box of Pokemon XY!

    **If you registered and played in the TCG event earlier in the day, this League Challenge is FREE for you. All age divisions! All others, the entry fee is $5.00 cash or $5.25 Credit Card.


    Registration starts: 2:30pm Registration Ends: 3pm - time subject to change


    • You must have your own legal 60-card Modified deck.
    • The number of Swiss Rounds will be determined by the number of players.
    • 30 minutes round + 3. No top cut.
    • Decklists will be required.

    Time: Registration begins at 5pm (Registration ends at 5:45pm).


    Players must follow rules (see below). Players must have 4-6 Pokémon in their Battle Box ready to play. Each player must submit a team sheet (see Team Sheet, attached document).

    You may only use your X or Y games!


    IMPORTANT VG Players! This will be a 4 vs 4 DOUBLE battle tournament!See attached document for more information!


    Cost: $10.00 Cash or $10.25 Credit Card Entry Fee


    PRIZES:

    For each Age Division:

    1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place: Cash prizes to be determined by Attendance. The more players we have, the bigger the CASH PRIZES will be!!



    Standard Format Team Rules:


    Pokémon must be in a Kalos Pokedex.

    Each held item must be unique.

    Pokémon may not have the same national Pokedex number.

    Pokémon must be native to Kalos (Indicated by a blue pentagon in the Pokémon Summary).

    NOTE: Your Pokémon MUST meet all 4 of these requirements!


    In Double Battles, each player selects four Pokémon from his or her party of six to battle with. At the start of the battle, players send out the first two Pokémon in their party, making a total of four Pokémon on the battlefield. Game play continues until a player makes all four of his or her opponent’s Pokémon faint.


    Only Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Game Cards or downloadable versions are permitted for use.

    Players may only use Pokémon from the Central Kalos Pokédex from #001 to #150, Coastal Kalos Pokédex from #001 to #153, or Mountain Kalos Pokédex from #001 to #147(you cannot use Yveltal, Xerneas, Zygarde, Mewtwo or Blaziken).

    Pokémon must be placed in the Battle Box.

    Pokémon are allowed to Mega Evolve.

    Pokémon above Level 50 are permitted, but they are auto-leveled down to 50 for the duration of battle.

    Players may use Pokémon with Hidden Abilities.

    Players may use items that have been officially released via Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, the Pokémon Global Link, or an official event or promotion.
