This is for when ff comes out-wait for it-Quad Charizard!!! (Lol)- basically charizard ex with techs

    4 Charizard EX (Flame Explosion)
    2 Entei EX

    8 Fire
    4 DCE

    3 Professor Sycamore
    3 Shauna
    3 Skyla
    4 Blacksmith
    2 Random Receiver
    2 Pal Pad

    4 Flame Torch
    3 Surprise Megaphone
    3 Prank Scoop
    4 Ultra Ball
    2 Red Card
    2 Sacred Ash
    4 Muscle Band
    3 Magnetic Storm

The strategy is to use flame explosion, powered by flame torch/blacksmith/entei ex to constantly hit for 170 damage, excluding resistance with magnetic storm. Please give your thoughts on this real cool deck

How can you run Charizard ex without mega? entei isnt even that good 3 for 90. Correct me if its a new entei but i wouldnt try this.

    PellOfTheTundra Do you even LT-87

    Some thoughts:
-Nothing relevant in format resists fire.
-I'd get at least a 1-1 Pyroar in there, if not 2-2. Blocking Kyurem PLF who otherwise eats you alive is so strong it isn't even funny. Also, as is, you lose to Pyroar.
-Entei, while he seems cool lategame, is a pretty big headache in reality. He just doesn't accelerate as fast as Torchsmith.
-You don't exactly need Skyla either, as your acceleration is Supporter-based and if you Skyla, that's a turn you can't Blacksmith.
-You do not need 3 Megaphone. Tool Drop is dead the moment it comes out, and you are literally 100% unaffected by Garbodor unless you run Keldeo (which you should, otherwise you have a cooldown between Flame Explosions). If you run Keldeo, by all means run 2, but not 3.
You have 6 Pokemon. Run Super Rod, not Sacred Ash. 5 Pokemon < 3 Pokemon/Energy in a deck as focused on discarding Energy like this one.
-Why bother with Prank Scoop or Red card? You are a speed deck, don't waste valuable room on disruption that isn't even actually that good.

    What I would do:

    -2 Entei-EX
    -2 Skyla
    -1 Suprise Megaphone
    -3 Prank Scoop
    -2 Red Card
    -2 Sacred Ash
    -3 Magnetic Storm

+1 Keldeo-EX (Resets the cooldown on Flame Explosion)
+2 Float Stone (Allows Charizard-EX back into the active when you retreat Keldeo)
    +1-1 Pyroar (Explained above)
    +4 Bicycle (More draw)
    +2 Super Rod (Explained above)
+3 Battle City (More draw, counterstadium)
+1 Fire Energy (More to discard with Flame Torch)

    Because the mega is bad?
Flame Explosion can be powered up in 1 turn to do 170, knocking out most of the format.
The reason he was running Entei-EX was for late game energy accel.

    Both megas suck. Seriously.
If anybody has them-I don't- I would suggest tropical beach in this deck.

@PellOfTheTundra Thanks for the advice. Is this list better?

    4 Charizard EX
    2-2 Pyroar
    3 Entei EX
    2 Keldeo EX

    4 Professor Sycamore
    4 Shauna
    4 Blacksmith
    2 Random Receiver
    2 Pal Pad
    3 Bicycle
    4 Flame Torch
    2 Surprise Megaphone
    1 Super Rod
    3 Float Stone
    1 Dowsing Machine
    3 Ultra Ball
    3 Battle City/Tropical Beach

    8 Fire
    3 DCE

Valid comment bout pyroar. Forgot I would auto lose to it

    1. I would actually not keep Entei at all myself, but at the very least, drop it by 1 and add a 4th DCE.
    2. Don't bother with Beach, for a speed deck like this Battle City is actually better as it is draw that doesn't end your turn.
    3. You dropped Muscle Band. Drop your Enteis or something for 3-4, as it is completely required in order to do 170.
  8. PokemonGeek

    PokemonGeek Derp, Derp, Derpity Derp

    So you would:
    -1 Entei EX
    +1 DCE
    -3 Beach
    +3 Battle City

Thanks for feedback. When this stuff is released I'll see how it does .
  9. PellOfTheTundra

And I also ninja edited, you need Muscle Band. That is more important than the 4th DCE to be frank.

Okay. What should I take out as well as the 3rd DCE because I would run more than 1 muscle band
  11. PellOfTheTundra

Instead of what you stated, try:
    -3 Entei-EX
    -1-1 Pyroar
    -3 Beach
    +3 Muscle Band
    +1 Town Map
    +1 DCE
    +3 Battle City

I know it is scary only having 7 Basics, but with all the draw/search you have, lone Charizard/Keldeo/Litleo isn't the end of the world at all as you should be able to grab another basic quickly.

    4 charizard ex
    2 keldeo ex
    1-1 pyroar

    4 sycamore
    4 shauna
    4 blacksmith
    2 random receiver
    2 pal pad
    3 bicycle
    1 town map
    3 muscle band
    4 flame torch
    2 surprise megaphone
    1 super rod
    3 float stone
    1 dowsing machine
    3 ultra ball
    3 battle city

    8 fire
    4 dce

    is this better

I have a similar deck I'm testing. Maybe we can help each other out.

    3 Charizard EX (Flame Explosion)
2-2 Pyroar (Walls most decks/decent non EX attacker)
3 Reshiram (Good non EX attacker. Might switch with 1-1 Pyroar and 1 Keldeo EX)
1 Keldeo EX (Float Stone shenanigans)

1 Sycamore (Personal preference. I prefer Shana, but having at least one is good. 2 or more and I always end up discarding one with another)
3 Shana (Can be swapped for more Sycamores)
4 Skyla (Get Prof Letter, Ultra Ball, next turn's supporter, etc.)
    4 Blacksmith (Energy acceleration)
1 Lysandre (snatch up Garbodor/Blastoise/EX needed for last two prizes)

2 Pal Pad (Get back Blacksmith or Lysandre)
    4 Torch (Draw support/Blacksmith synergy)
4 Ultra Ball (Mainly used to discard fire energy/ get Keldeo)
2 Prof Letter (Get energy for torch or Ultra Ball discard or just to attach)
    1 Switch
    2 Float Stone
    4 Muscle Band
    2 Surprise Megaphone (Garbodor sucks)

2 Stadium (Counter stadium. Currently Skyarrow. Battle City is good if you have it. Pokemon Center works too.)

1 Computer Search ACE SPEC (For DCE searching/discards fire energy)

    8 [R]
    4 DCE

I have only had a chance to test this against Plasma (Kyurem). I win most of the time.

I have tried this deck with Virbank Laser and/or Delphox, but space becomes an issue.

I have thought about tossing in M Charizard EX (Y) and a Protect Cube just for LOLZ
  15. PokemonGeek

    PokemonGeek Derp, Derp, Derpity Derp

-Def don't run M Charizard Y. Waste of space.
-Your deck takes a totally different direction than mine, because I tend to want to stream Flame Explosion rather than constantly waste -turns walling. Reshiram is inferior to Charizard as you're not within 170hp KO range. Drop Skyla as it wastes a turn when you could be Blacksmithing to accelerate energy.
-Only 1 Sycamore? It is a way of getting (R) energy discarded to Blacksmith
-I think having a 1-1 Pyroar line is enough, seeing as its attack isn't the best so devoting more than just a tech slot to it wastes your space.
-Boost your Keldeo EX count to 2. This is necessary to ensure that you can stream Charizard's attack.
-LaserBank does not work as a Stadium in this deck. You will need to counter it yourself, so 3 Battle City works. 3 is also an appropriate number to counter Beach, courtesy of Blastoise/Emboar.
-While on paper Delphox does seem good, it is more of a liability for a Stage 2 tech, which is how it is going to be viewed in Charizard.
-I think Dowsing MCHN is the better ACE SPEC as it allows you a 5th Blacksmith.

    Hope this helps:)

-M Charizard EX is mainly just a joke card. It would rarely be useful. It could potentially buy you a turn or KO that 180 HP EX. If I were to include it, it would be just for fun and only used once in a blue moon.

-Skyla is too good to exclude, this deck requires too many Trainers to work effectively without being able to grab exactly what you need. I'm willing to trade a turn of speed for more consistency. I may drop to 3, but I wouldn't play less than 2.

-One Sycamore is just personal preference, I can totally see running 3-4 (and would probably recommend it), I just have bad luck with it. You do bring up a good point about it being another method to discard [R]. I might bump it up to 2.

-Reshiram is here because I wanted a good non EX attacker, but running more Pyroar and Keldeo EX instead is probably the better choice.

-I definitely think you need at least 2-2 Pyroar. Pyroar is a wall and an anti-EX/anti-Safeguard attacker. Otherwise, you get walled off by Safeguard and Yveltal/Keldeo matchups turn into revenge kill prize trading. Being on the losing end of the prize trade or failing to attack once can cost you.

-I agree with more Keldeo EX. It isn't necessary though, as you can retreat into a new Charizard EX (and Blacksmith the energy back on) or play Switch or (worst case) just Wing Attack for 80 and set up for the Pyroar revenge KO. Plasma with Kyurem generally only techs one Keldeo, and it is basically the same strategy.

-I agree that Laser Bank doesn't fit. The space is better used elsewhere. Depending on space, 2 stadiums can work, especially if you only use them to counter. Battle City is good, if you have it...

-Like Laser Bank, Delphox just isn't worth the space.

    - I have to disagree with the ACE SPEC choice. Computer Search is the only way to search for DCE, and Pal Pad is plenty for the 5th Blacksmith (I generally don't need more than 3 per game.)

    New List:

    3 Charizard EX (Flame Explosion)
    3-3 Pyroar
    2 Keldeo EX

    3 Sycamore
    3 Skyla
    4 Blacksmith
    2 Lysandre

    Other Trainers

    2 Pal Pad
    4 Torch
    4 Ultra Ball
    2 Prof Letter
    1 Switch
    2 Float Stone
    4 Muscle Band
3 Surprise Megaphone (I feel Garbodor is a bigger threat than most stadium cards)
2 Stadium (Battle City if you have it, Skyarrow or Pokemon Center if you don't. Swap out a Surprise Megaphone if you want an extra Stadium)
    1 Computer Search ACE SPEC

    8 [R]
    4 DCE

I know CharizardEX is getting really hyped and it will be fun to use him, but I think a better, cheaper alternative could be ReshiramEX from LTR. Here are the replacements I had in mind:
    -3 CharizardEX, +3 ReshiramEX
    -Current Stadiums, +Virbank City Gyms
    -2 KeldeoEX,-2 Float Stone, +4 Hypnotoxic Laser
-4 Muscle Band, +4 Protect Cube
-All but 1 Megaphone for Tech spots
With this, you are immune to Garbodor, but I always like to have 1 Scrapper effect because they are good for getting any tools off (GBooster, opposing Keldeo Float Stones, Life Dew, etc.). You will also be dealing 180 Damage now, and if you need more Lasers you can put Shadow Triad in the Tech spot(s)! VirGen and BigBasics with Virizion would be bad matchups, but that's what Pyroar is for, right? I honestly don't think the Triads would be needed though because you can just Lysandre up EX pokemon in order to draw 2 prizes per Laser use. Also, since Reshiram doesn't discard energies, you may be able to take out a Blacksmith and have another Tech spot. Maybe 2 more switch in those spots?
Anyways, I love the list, as it is very consistent having computer search as the only one-of. I think this deck will be a fun and strong choice-even in the face of Blastoise.

I liked your suggestions, but I wouldnt take all the muscle bands out. They are easier to hit than virbank and HTL. I dont know if protect cube will be this important for the deck compared to muscle band 1HKO most 170 HP EX. And not being a one time use only card. Besides you can have muscle band with HTL without Virbank, and still dealing the same amount of damage on this deck.

If you're going to Play Reshiram EX instead of Charizard, forget the Protection Cubes, keep the Muscle Bands, and just play Fliptini. Helps with both of his attacks.
