This was my first deck idea for competitive play, and as players like Igor Costa and Harrison Leven proved, it could be a nightmarish deck to play against.

    3 Darkrai EX
    2 Mewtwo EX
    3 Terrakion
    2 Smeargle
    1 Shaymin
    4 Junk Arm
    3 Dual Ball
    13 Supporters
    3 Pokemon Catcher
    1 Lost Remover
    3 Random Receiver
    2 Potion
    1 Switch
    1 Energy Search
    1 Energy Retrieval
    1 Revive
    2 Skyarrow Bridge
    6 Darkness Energy
    4 Fighting Energy
    4 Double Colorless Energy

It was very consistent and really good. It was a shame when we moved on to BLW-on.

Did Harrison Leven really run Shaymin?I always thought he just ran Darkrai Mewtwo Smeargle.
Obviously didn't read leaflet right[DOUBLEPOST=1392319357][/DOUBLEPOST]Amen. I still have the cards and today pulled Darkrai in Legendary Treasures booster pack. Reminds me of old times...

Not knowing his Shaymin was Prized more or less cost him Worlds.

I'm fairly sure he did know it was prized, but his last search was a "just in case."

I never knew something that simple cost him the tournament.

I'm 99% sure the finals are on YouTube, it's a really good series, you should watch it. I always thought it was really cool how Igor won using his only gold Catcher.

    Yeah, Pokemandan does live commentary.

It wasn't live, the original commentary was by Pokemon-hired commentators from Gamespot that coined the phrases "Trash Claw" and "Professor N"

I'm watching the GameSpot video right now, he said Junk Claw not Trash Claw. But still, pretty funny.[DOUBLEPOST=1392627647][/DOUBLEPOST]
After watching it myself I think moving all the Energy to Mewtwo probably cost him more then Shaymin did.

Probably. I've never seen the video, but at the time it was that last desperate search that stuck in the mind.

Well he had the easy Night Spear KO on the opposing Darkrai EX but he decided to make it interesting by using Shaymin to Celebration Wild his 4 Darkness and attach a DCE to his Mewtwo EX to take the KO instead of using Night Spear. It got revenged by Mewtwo with DCE needless to say, and then he had no Energy on the table and ended up losing.

Igor played well and deserved his win.

Was one of the more entertaining finals anyway. Not a sudden death lottery or a one-sided blow out.

They both played well in the series, and I'm sure the played well throughout the tournament or else they wouldn't have been at that table. I still think it would have been such an easier game if he did put all his Energy onto Mewtwo. Maybe he would have still lost, who knows, Igor's deck was pretty harsh for that match up because of Terrakion. Was a pretty crazy series anyways.

JGames, I actually don't know what you're talking about. Igor had a Mewtwo with a DCE, eviolite and no damage active vs. Harrison's 4-energy board with 2 prizes If Harrison hit the Shaymin, he would have won.

That's what I'm talking about. Go to 53:30 on the video.

The Darkrai actually had 30 on it, not 90. My bad. But either way, you could have at least just attacked with his own Darkrai instead of blowing all his energy.

Pooka and Pram commentated over the recording to give better commentary, so that's why you didn't hear Trash Claw.

Look at the final 2 turns of the game. Had he not prized his 2nd Shaymin, he would have won.
