    Wrags23 Feeling... rogue.

This is the competitive deck thread for Garbodor/Attackers. The basic strategy is to use Garbodor's Ability, Garbotoxin, to shut down any other abilities on the field and use attackers that don't rely on Abilities for damage output. Here is a sample decklist:

    Pokemon (14):
    3 Trubbish PLS
    3 Garbodor DRX
    1 Sawk PLB
    2 Terrakion BCR
    3 Cobalion EX PLS
    2 Tornadus EX DEX
    4 Professor Juniper
    4 N
    3 Skyla
    2 Ghetsis

    4 Pokemon Catcher
    3 Heavy Ball
    2 Ultra Ball
    2 Switch
    3 Float Stone
    2 Rocky Helmet
    1 Rescue Scarf
    1 Computer Search
    2 Tool Scrapper

    Energy (13):
    4 Prism Energy
    4 Blend Energy WLMF
    2 Double Colorless Energy
    2 Metal Energy
    1 Fighting Energy

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in a separate deck thread, but I've been testing a Garbodor deck that uses Team Plasma Pokémon as its attackers. Here's my current deck list after making adjustments for Plasma Blast:

    Pokémon - 10

    3 Trubbish (DRX or PLS)
    2 Garbodor DRX
    3 Kyurem PLF
    1 Absol PLF
    1 Thundurus EX

    Trainers - 39

    3 N
    3 Caitlin
    3 Professor Juniper
    2 Colress
    2 Skyla

    4 Pokémon Catcher
    3 Colress Machine
    3 Float Stones
    3 Hypnotoxic Laser
    3 Ultra Ball
    2 Silver Bangle
    2 Switch
    2 Team Plasma Ball
    1 Super Rod
    1 Scramble Switch

    2 Virbank City Gym

    Energy - 11

    4 Plasma Energy
    4 Prism Energy
    3 Blend Energy WLFM

I haven't yet tested Caitlin, so my Supporter counts might not be ideal. In theory, this deck could have an advantage over TDK by shutting down Deoxys while being able to use the HypnoBank combo, which many decks might stop using thanks to Virizion EX. In practice, this deck's success (and the success of Garbodor decks in general) will probably depend on how common Tool Scrapper becomes in the new format.

Caitlin is not a three of card in any deck,

    -2 Caitlin
    +1 n
    +1 Juniper

I like the idea of PlasmaDor... I have messed around with it before and I think that it has some potential as a decent Rogue or Tier 3.

It is somewhat risky, maybe I should put in victini ex, but then there is Keldeo.

If you are going the try and play Weakness/Resistance vs everything you might as well be playing Superfriends =P

Can you explain the resonings for picking the attackers you have, it could lead to better discussion on your list.

Also, a 3/2 line of Garbodor works fine. I run it in mine and I rarely find myself saying... man if I only had that 3rd Garbodor...

Pro Tip: If you need to set up a 3rd Garbodor... you are already losing =)

I have a knack for prizing key cards.

Anyway, terrakion EX is my source of energy acceleration, and terrakion is a good non ex attacker

Not sure what this means, maybe I am reading it wrong, are you saying you are playing the attackers you are because you think they will go up in price?

And how fast is your energy excel if it takes you 3 turns to get it online?

I can understand the base Terrakion more so than the EX, because Retaliate can be clutch, But with the attackers you have, once you take 3 turns to get your exceleration online.... who are you excelerating to? Mewtwo?

Your right, I don't think it will work, editing to something more realistic

No problem, and now that I know you meant Prizing... Then if you have that kind of luck playing Superfriends is definitely not for you. Its obnoxious when you prize out of your attackers for a given match-up. It doesn't happen often but when it does its an uphill climb.[DOUBLEPOST=1379436380,1377112506][/DOUBLEPOST]This is the list I am currently running and I like how it is playing.

    Pokemon - 12
    2 Landorus EX
    3 Cobalion EX
    2 Mewtwo EX
    3 Trubbish PLS-64
    2 Garbodor DRX/PF

    4 Professor Juniper
    4 N
    4 Skyla
    1 Colress

    3 Pokemon Catcher
    2 Virbank City Gym
    3 Hypnotoxic Laser
    1 Switch
    3 Ultra Ball
    1 Heavy Ball

I would be happy to play vs you. It really is a cut and dry match. Cobalion EX rush keeping energy off, while disrupting with Lasers/Catchers. It really is about a 50/50 depending on who pulls a better opener.[DOUBLEPOST=1381183250,1380047620][/DOUBLEPOST]No love for the trash man?[DOUBLEPOST=1381760314][/DOUBLEPOST]Garbasics Top Cut the Cali Regionals for Masters.... garbodor is really the only effective way to be stoise, so it makes a lot of sense.

Chalk up another one, First place at a Regionals. This deck is on a comeback. Might want to bump it up from rogue now =)

    baby_mario Doesn't even care

Dunno why it was ever labelled Rogue in the first place. CBA to change it I guess.

Yay - welcome back the least skillful deck since Machamp SF!
