New Cards, Old Cards, Old Decks, New Decks – Understanding the Boundaries Crossed Format

Love the Regigigas EX in Ho-Oh. I've been running one in my list for a while, which I've enjoyed a lot as an unconditional T1 80.
Also, love the mention of Liepard :P Not the greatest card, but my Liepard deck has been a pretty fun, underwhelming concept.

No excuse for Japanese Boundaries Crossed scans when the English scans are on PB.

Also, frankly, Eels decks are Tier 2. I can't imagine them seeing much play due to Landy.

PokeBeach in the past has not liked me using their images, and specifically said not to use them for Underground articles. And I can't find many other English scans out there. That's my excuse. Sorry!

Eels decks will see play--everyone's got the cards already. Heck, at Indiana Regionals, I played next to a Durant player. If someone's still playing Durant, you better believe people will still be playing Eels.

Best Boundries Crossed article yet! Great insight and great deck lists, you build deck lists the way i like to play so i really enjoy how deep you go into your choices and applications.

I also think Cresselia EX will be a great tech card in a few decks, great tank.

In your Darkrai/Tornadus build, Aspertia City Gym might be a better choice then Skyarrow Bridge if your useing Tornadus EX as a buffer agianst fighting anyway, giving him another 20hp could really screw up some math, or maby a 1-1 split.

- Flygon/Raticate? I know they have time to respond to it but still if they dont, its knocked out.

- Stoutland / Tornadus EX / Bouffalant DRE / Blissy DEX
Could Stoutland + Blissy work? if you included Aspertia City Gym your support pokemon would have 150hp and with a flip heal 30 off your active Stoutland

You can't use Blissey or they'll Catcher it and use a supporter. The problem with Stoutland isn't that he's a bad attacker (90 on T2 is good), it's that you can't support him with anything or the strategy bites the dust.

Good enough excuse :P

This is a misconception I've been seeing a bunch with First Ticket. Theoretically yes, if you play 4 your odds of going first is 70%, 20% higher, but that also bumps your opponent's likeliness of going first down to 30%. So in theory, you're 40% more likely to go first if you play 4 First Ticket.

I'm also not too big on Terrakion in Blastoise decks. In my testing the Hydreigon matchup is actually in the Keldeo player's favor. I don't see any nagging need to tech too much against it. Although I did like your inclusion of Switch in that deck, I do like that idea.

Coolestman... that's not how math works.

I actually welcome the lack of these cards being in Boundaries Crossed, as I felt Ether when paired with Landorus EX and Mewtwo EX shook up the format in a bit of an unhealthy way that would have largely rid the format of Darkrai and Eelektrik variants.
Without Ether, Landorus EX is much more balanced and some Darkrai variants, and maybe Eelektrik variants will still be able to do well in this format.

that in of itself got a +1 from me :D

overall it was a really good article and I really enjoyed reading it!

Yep, but it bumps your opponent's chance to 30%, meaning that you're 40% more likely to go first than an opponent without First Ticket.
Than your opponent. But only 20% more likely to go first than normal.

So you're only 20% more likely to go first, because the baseline of comparison is not the opponent's chance, but your chance of going first without using First Ticket. Your opponent's decrease in probability to go first is a response* to your increase. It's not something that increases your odds itself.

I Fell in love with Dark City (Darkrai/Sableye/Mewtwo/Terrakion/Stunfisk/Roserade/Hammers)
I've been seeing less of it, and people saying Hammers "are losing"; How do I change this to keep playing the same deck? :(
I don't want to go to end up playing something not my playstyle (Rayeelz, Hydreigon, ect..)

3 Darkrai
2 Sableye
2 Terrakion
1 Mewtwo
1 Stunfisk
1-1 Roserade
