Hello all book lovers! I know you're out there. This is gonna be a place where we can discuss some of our favorite books at length, as well as recommend some of our favorites to others(please include the Authors name as well. You can also talk about what you think might've happened to a character that seemed to have "disappeared" from the story, or any conspiracy theories one might have hidden away in the depths of your imagination. Mystery just isn't my thing. I always end up figuring out what happend/who dunnit/ what's going to happen way before the storyline gets there, so they can be kinda boring for me.

    Salamencetrainer34 An ogre-achiever

Harry potter is my fav. series.

Percy jackson and the Olympians is my favorite series also. (@Vablakes knows the author)

The hunger games is pretty good too. Read half first book

It's definitely way up there for me as well!

Riordan writes so much amazing stuff about ancient civilizations, I wouldn't be surprised if he majored in ancient history.

The hunger games was good the first time I read them. Then I realized how horrendous it really is, but they are well written.

  10. Rick Riordan. He was the author, ST34. :p

Percy Jackson and the Olympians and the Heroes of Olympus (both by Rick Riordan) are by far my favorite book series (they are kinda one series, but if I had to choose, the Heroes of Olympus is the best). House of Hades and Mark of Athena put any other books to shame, IMO. The evolution of the characters is amazing. It's well written, has a perfect amount of humor, plenty of action and a fantastic storyline. The way they are written allows you to not only see the struggles of the group as a whole, but also get to know the characters, their personal struggles and their greatest weaknesses and fears. I cannot hype them up enough, and I can't describe how excited I am to read the Blood of Olympus next year.

The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins is also amazing. It's almost as amazing as the Heroes of Olympus/Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

I have to say Vablakes, they are very good books. However, I just started reading The Bartimaeus Trilogy, and I can already tell it is going to be one of my all-time favorites.

Anybody like the Kane Chronicles as well? The Heroes of Olympus is far better but The KC is still very good.
