The 2 different lists take slightly different directions, I think.
Draft 1 seems to be a straight up Speed Lugia deck list, but Draft 2 seems a bit more techy.

If you wanna see where I based Draft 2 from see this article

Skyla and Random Receiver don't play together nicely. I'd drop the Skyla and the Super Rod for a Sycamore, a Lightning Energy, an Escape Rope and Computer Search.

Edit: I didn't even see that you don't run N. That is not a good idea. You need to draw heavy early on and have the option of catching up if your opponent gets off to a quick start. Drop a Shauna, a Colress, and a Colress Machine for three of them.

You could run 1-1 M Kangaskhan-EX to counter Pyroar over Latias-EX

I Know. Dropped 2 Skyla for 2 Catcher. Shauna is better than N.

You're obviously free to run whatever you want, but N is better than Shauna, full stop. There's a reason every seriously competitive deck runs four. In a pure speed Lugia deck you might drop down to two.

I also don't think that one Skyla will do you enough good to justify the risk of losing a turn of draw after Random Receiver.

Edit: Also no reason to not run an ACE Spec.

2 Catcher is not a good idea... I would say that either run 3-4 or 0. It isn't going to do much for you to actually swing many matchups with just two.

    er:
    What were you saying?
Ah, yeah, forgot the ACE SPEC.
    -1 Muscle Band
    +1 Dowsing MCHN

    OK, you got me.
    -3 Shauna
    +3 N

Good on you for being willing to try something you're not 100% comfortable with. You can always adjust once you see how it plays. I hope you find it as versatile as I have.

Wait so how many Catchers do you play now... this is confusing.

I'm guessing he is playing two since he dropped two Skyla for two Catchers. Perhaps he misread what you were saying and he thought you liked the idea of two Catchers.

I think two Catchers is great, but not in a deck list that focuses on speed over all else. I would play 3-4 or 0, just like you said Wrags.

Jeez, I should post the list.

    2 Lugia EX
    2 Thundurus EX
    1 Latias EX
    1 Snorlax PLS
    1 Genesect EX

    3 Sycamore
    3 N
    3 Colress
    1 Skyla
    3 Random Receiver
    4 Roller Skates
    2 Pal Pad

    4 Colress Machine
    4 Pokemon Catcher
    2 Switch
    3 Muscle Band
    1 Startling Megaphone
    1 Super Rod

    3 Frozen City

    4 Plasma
    4 Prism
    4 DCE

    I hope this sorts things.

4 Catcher seems a waste of space in a speed deck.
  15. Tsunami

    Tsunami Seems legit.

They do thin, and can get past walls I guess. I'd play least 2 bike, maybe instead of a frozen and skyla. I don't like skyla in this, draw is, IMO, better. Frozen is good, but I don't think 3 are needed. Where did dowsing go? I don't see it on the list.

Honestly, how much have you tested catcher in this deck?

A lot, and I don't really like it. Too flippy.
