UK Regionals!

Haven't seen a thread for this, so I thought I'd start one
For those who've been hiding under a rock on Facebook don't know,
Manchester's is on the 30th,
Scotland's joke of an event is on the 7th December,
And Cornwall's is the 14th December, I think?


I'm gonna be at Scotland and Manchester,
will I be seeing many of you lot there?

Obviously I have no right to instruct or condemn anyone for attending the Glasgow Regional. However, none of the established judges up there want anything to do with it, and neither do I.

Defo can't attend the Manchester one, which is a shame as it's my local league. Not sure about the others though, that will depend on availability so close to Xmas.

Manchester had far more people than I was expecting. From what I could tell, the top cut was something like...

1. LMT w/Garbodor
1 Zebsrika

There was 6 rounds and it seemed to require a 4-1-1 record to top cut. There was a wide variety of decks, but no Plasma or Blastoise variants top cut. Despite being played in decent numbers. The only thing that annoys me about the Swiss system is that its 50+3 and not 60+3.

Both the Darkrai were Darkrai/Garbodor. Someone playing Plasma got 9th.

Is Plasma a good play? I'm playing it for cities but with it's decline in play will decks drop their techs for it.

"techs" against plasma really don't matter. The deck is just worse since it doesn't have access to catcher. But its still not a bad deck. It made 9th at Manchester.

Just gotta know how to play matchups. People that test alot with plasma will do alot better than people who just pick up the deck.

I'm playing Genesect also I've been playing it since the tins were reviled so I know how to play it.

We were saved from the 6 to a booth quotation.

But we were not spared the loss of points for T8 in Masters.

Does this country get anymore Regionals or are these the only ones it gets?
