I'm guessing it's a 2 day event? With swiss on the 1st and top cut on the 2nd?

Yeah, for Masters it will be anyway. Juniors and Seniors depends on attendance.

Oh, I got the impression it was going to be VGC on one day and TCG on the other. Either works withe ^_^

Regardless, 2 day event is awesome news and a good step forward for the UK. Quick question, I saw no mention of them, but will you need Play Points for the TCG?

Masters and Seniors need 10 PP. Juniors don't need any.

Oh goodie, there's a Holiday Inn Express at the NEC - more chance to watch big Tommy Hall sleazing on barmaids.

Hotel barmaids do love a man in a wifebeater and sandals.

What is the price for the hotel (Holiday Inn)?
    I'm a senior, should I plan for 2 days?
And, I probably won't make cut but should I plan to stay the night anyway?

Just paid £110 for both nights. I guess you should plan for two days, there may be side events on the TC day - or just an excuse to play the new format more.

    Is it on pokemon.com?

Can you think of a way to find out?

It's not. The holiday Inn is a 10 min drive from NEC.

Looks like VGC isn't starting until the Sunday, so either TCG Nats is a one-day event (having a day each for the events) or TPCi have a "those who don't cut will be able to play VGC" mentality.

Sat: TCG swiss (and top cut for Juniors/Seniors depending on attendance)
Sun: TCG top cut (Masters) and VGC

I guess you could enter the VGC if you didn't cut. There is surprisingly little crossover in the UK though.

He'd probably try and sell them Pokemon merchandise while "sleazing on barmaids".

It's nice that the venue is a little more centralised; although the atmosphere of Kettering was certainly appropriate for a tournament of such high caliber.

Looking forward to seeing all of u there [apart from Sibon who I think is still banned :(] as my dad confirmed I can go. If you are in Seniors and are facing a person with dark hair that feels like a hedgehog and he looks like a complete newb dropping his cards all over the place whilst shuffling its probably me! :D. [Or u can just look at the name - if its Matthew King its me]
