    MetalArmedAngel My lovely Luka ♥♥

From what I hear Zekeels and Aromatissebox have been doing well in Japan.
Maybe Pyroar is what the designers made to counter these top decks. Aromatisse needs to attack twice with a terrible attack, and risk getting knocked out (though we don't know what Pyroar's attack is), and Eelektrik has Electro ball lol

I like Pyroar, it is a decent copy of Mewtwo Lv.X

Meowstic is interesting, but M Kangashan? Nothing great about it, and I don't see any combo.

Have you seen Pyroar yet? I try not to jump to conclusions, but man, I feel like that forces everyone to do one of three things, play Pyroar, play Garbodor, or play more Catchers, Escape Ropes, and Lyssandres.

Oh and I guess play megas.

Oh my gosh, Pyroar is INSANE! Protection from all basics? Wow! Not just EX! M kangaskhan looks good.

    Or play Stage 2's...

Sad when that's not even mentioned as an alternative to Psybarrier, no matter what the reasons. Means basic creep has come pretty far.

M Kangaskan Looks good, but Phyroar looks amazing. Mabey less as the format moves on since Mega Evolutions do not count as basics.[DOUBLEPOST=1393589714][/DOUBLEPOST]Does anyone know where the Nj state championships are?

Other than Pyroar and Meowstick I'm not impressed at all. M Kangaskhan keeps the trend of useless Megas. Meowstick may be interesting once Dusknoir leaves, but until then I think I prefer the extra stage to the attack.

    hfechhelm The Swarm

Agreed. Meowstick looks weak. M Kangaskan looks horrible.

Why M Kangaskhan? There's no combo there.

Pyroar is being discussed in the Japanese Wild Blaze thread.

I dunno why we needed two threads for this, we can just change the title of the Japanese one once we know what it is called in English.

A good point, we had like 129622 threads where XY was discussed.

    M Kangaskan is horrible. Period.

    I've reported it.

Can't do anything myself as it's not my area.

But really, don't start a thread if there is already one for something similar. Common sense etc.

A mass rise in Pyroar use = a mass rise in Empoleon wins?

    ...A man can dream.
  18. Gelatin

    Gelatin So soft and jiggly.

Mega Mom is certainly more playable than the others.

Pyroar sounds like it'd be a good bit of disruption that players will have to keep in mind while building decks.

XY is shaping up to be the Stage 1 Format.

    Dark_Espeon Darkness Trainer

Pyroar looks interesting. Like the trainers shown thus far. Alternate art Ultra Ball looks nice and Lysandre is awesome. It is a secure catcher and since it is a supporter it is hard to lock it out. A tech line can be nice with other trainers such as Pal Pad. Kangaskhan Ex is horrible but that line has some of the best art thus far.

No idea why people are being so harsh on Kangaskhan. This reminds me of the time when people were being dismissive of Kyurem PLF. Firstly, it's opening attack is really strong. It's M attack is easy to setup, and splashable. Non-fighting pokémon will be non-existent with Yveltal being so popular. It's attack can be combined with Fliptini. It counters Pyroar, and has a lot of OKHO potential.
