Totally playing Sableye + Prank Scope + Dialga EX + Life Dew just to mess with people.
i might use magnetic storm just
1 counter other stadium if i don't use vinbark
2 allow ground types to wreck lugia EX
Is shiftry good at all?
Really, REALLY miffed off about the new text on Pokemon Fan Club. Why would you errata an old card for no reason like that? Just give it a new name!
Fanclub was a great combo with Sableye SF to get Pokemon benched turn 1... now it's just a jank Supporter compared to other options. Hurts Unlimited formats for no reason whatsoever.
Was so excited for this set for about 2 whole minutes until I read that new text U_U Now it's just a bad Pokemon Collector.
It has a Good Virizion pairing in my opinion.
A GOOD MILOTIC PAIRING TOO.
I really like that card. That the type of stuff I like to see. I saw Jirachi and said "pfft. YEAH I'M PLAYING YOU!" and I feel exactly the same way here, just a high reward yield. More than likely will just be KO'ing herself for the energy, but Shedinja techs could work too for a deck like Shiftry, it needs the bench sit anyways.
I was really underwheled by Heliolisk until I released
[C] Parabolic Charge: Search your deck for up to 2 Energy cards, reveal them, and put them in your hand. Shuffle your deck afterwards.
Energy Exchange would be more welcome but this is a step in the right direction,
As things stand . . .
Shiftry? No. Compare Empoleon - a lot easier to use (discard anything, not just Grass Energy) and it has a MUCH better attack. Despite this it is pretty tier 3 right now. And Shiftry is worse, so . . .
Milotic is interesting, but I don't see any combos for it at the moment. It has to KO itself (can't use Shedinja, sorry) and can't attach to an EX. Can't really think of any non-EX Pokemon that make it worth using. Maybe we'll get some later. The fact that it only works with Basic Energy is another thing that puts me off.
Druddigon is a niche tech
Pyroar has a semi-usable attack . . . could have been worse
The EXs are all pants.
Are we sure that's how Prank scope is translated? The Translation seems weird to me.
You may look at the top card of your opponents deck and put it at the top. You may discard it if you want. <---That sounds so bad English wise...could be another ghetsis mistranslation...
Where are you getting your translations from?
I prefer to use Bulbapedia
I didn't go on bulba...I just read this thread. Sorry if I feel like the info in this thread is truthful lol.
Translation on bulba sounds wayyyy better lol.
Can someone please explain to me how a Quad Pyroar type of deck doesn't completely change the way the format should be approached? Obviously you need to play your Tool Scrappers/Megaphones to stop Garbodor from becoming an issue, but it hits very good damage numbers with Muscle Band+Laser giving you a versatile damage option, and the typing makes it GREAT for what it's trying to accomplish as it hits Genesect EX and Cobalion EX for weakeness and also gains the consistency of Flame Torch and Blacksmith to make T2 Pyroar rather easy and streaming them almost a non-issue.
I like the Fanatic thing. Hate the Prank Scope madness. Rest of the TSS are probably eh.
If they had kept the old text of Fan Club, then it would not have worked with coming-into-play Powers/Abilities like Shaymin, Uxie, or Jirachi EX. Unlimited players lose a combo, but they gain elsewhere. It would also have been useless with Pokemon you might want to discard (Exeggcute, Ho-oh EX).
Use for Ditto BCR at last? You could Milotic to Ditto, then Transform into an EX.
Good riddance to Tool Drop. Definitely my most hated deck in this format.
Are you serious? Tool Drop was one of the most funniest, fun decks to play all format long.
It had a good run for a gimmick deck.
Everyone is concerned about Surprise Metaphor, and I'm just sitting here having nightmares about the baby on Pokemon Fanatics FA's face.
I'm calling that for a band name.
The only way it could really do well is to run into Plasma nearly every round, and that was unbelievably frustrating for Plasma players. It's a good counter deck and not much else..
Separate names with a comma.
