Profiles on Zoroark/Seismitoad and Zoroark/Golisopod for Dallas Expanded “Honestly, I don’t think this card would be in the deck if it were not for the release of Faba. Faba made it so that this deck would have to include basic energies to continue being playable, and that made it very easy to include this majestic beast. Artciuno, while useless in some matchups, made some of the deck’s closer matchups substantially better. Primal Groudon was a deck that gave us a ton of trouble in Portland, and Articuno provides a strong answer to that issue. Additionally, Buzzwole was a close matchup in the past, and Articuno helps to make…
Recapping a Collection of Tournaments with Zoroark-GX/Garbodor in Expanded “Why is this deck good? Well, it combines two amazing cards. I’ve already covered why Zoroark-GX is a strong card in Expanded; I need not dive further into it. Garbotoxin is a strong Ability in Expanded when combined with N, but also in the general nature of the successful decks. The more aggressive decks like Rayquaza-GX, Archie’s Blastoise, Buzzwole, and Blacephalon are vulnerable to either Trashalanche or Garbotoxin, making Garbodor a sweet sidekick in these matchups. Importantly, Trashlanche functions as a strong single prize attacker. This way, there’s a great way to punish the opponent for returning to even prizes…
Mike’s Look at Zoroark/Weavile and Passimian from Philadelphia, Plus Moving Forward “The Magcargo line was a 1-1 Garbodor line for a while, but I was convinced by some people to swap it for Magcargo. I still think a thin line of Garbodor is pretty good in Zoroark, as evidenced by Xander’s run to the semi-finals. I had this deck submitted as of 7:30am Saturday morning, but was convinced to switch, as I’ll discuss below. Before that, I’d like to highlight a few other things in the list: Tapu Koko, Oranguru, and Tapu Lele are all pretty good basics to play in a Zoroark deck. I think Oranguru is the most cuttable,…
On Countering Buzzwole/Shrine of Punishments, Zoroark/Golisopod, and Zoroark/Lycanroc for Philly “The Baby Buzzwole/Shrine of Punishment deck first appeared on the radar a few weeks prior to the 2018 World Championship. Although the playerbase at large had mixed feelings on the deck, it made it’s presence known on both days of that tournament, putting up a dominant performance in Day 1 and putting a few players into the money on Day 2 as well. Looking back, it’s no surprise this deck turned out to be great. The combination of the early game aggression of Buzzwole and the late game one hit KO potential of Trashalance is obviously very powerful, especially when…
The swirl pattern in this Pokémon’s body is its weakness. If it gets stirred, the swirl loses its shape, and ________ gets dizzy. (Sinistea)
It can race around like a unicycle, even on rough, rocky terrain. Burning coal sustains it. (Rolycoly)
